Common questions

Is there an answer key?
Yes. Every worksheet has a matching answer key with each answer worked on the same grid or layout as the question. The worksheet ID printed at the bottom of each page pairs a sheet with its key.
Which way does a 5 go?
Up. 5, 15, and 25 round to 10, 20, and 30. 50, 150, and 250 round to 100, 200, and 300. Some textbooks call this rounding half up.
Can an answer be 0 or 1,000?
Nothing here rounds to 0, because the numbers start at 5 for tens and 50 for hundreds. 1,000 can be an answer, for example when 962 is rounded to the nearest 100.
How many different versions are there?
About a million per skill. Each time you press the button the problems are generated fresh, so you can print a different version for every student, a retake, or another night of practice.
Are the worksheets free?
Yes. They are free to print and copy for your home or classroom, with no sign-up.
